Presenter Bootcamp
AL!VE's Presenter Bootcamp helps members elevate their public speaking skills through a multi-week program designed to turn your ideas into compelling narratives, translate in-person training into engaging virtual experiences, and more. The program is generally offered annually each Spring over 6 to 8 weeks and is available only to AL!VE members.
Overview
Professionals at any level are invited to participate. The virtual 8 week course covers topics like:
- Idea development
- Creating a presentation from scratch
- Practice opportunities
- Feedback from experts in the field
- Webinars led by your peers
- Community of Practice style discussions
- Opportunities to use the skills you learn
And much more!
These components are designed to put theory into practice. Attending a majority of course sessions and a final presentation is required to graduate.
Participants who demonstrate proficiency with course concepts will be certified as an AL!VE Presenter and have the opportunity to present at an AL!VE Academy. All participants receive CVA credits for sessions they attend live.
Success
In 2025, AL!VE will have trained three (3) cohorts and supported program participants. Graduates have gone on to present at:
- AL!VE Academies
- Texas Volunteer Management Conference
- Points of Light Conference
- National Conferences
- Local Associations Events
- Organizational Meetings
Registration
The Presenter Bootcamp program takes place late January through February each year. Registration opens on October 1 each year. Registration is limited to 24 members in good standing.
