Jenn has worked with thousands of volunteers across social services, animal welfare, public media, national service, political campaigns, and professional associations over the past two decades. She currently serves as Volunteer Engagement Manager for Oregon Public Broadcasting. Jenn previously served as board president of the Northwest Oregon Volunteer Administrators Association. Since 2020, she has supported AL!VE as a mentor, committee chair, and board member. Jenn centers equity and inclusion in volunteer programs and brings advanced training in equity facilitation to support belonging across communities and organizational change.

Darlene is a national leader in volunteer engagement and the driving force behind Habitat for Humanity International’s Skilled Volunteer Strategy and Engagement initiatives. In her role, she develops resources, trainings, and best practices that strengthen volunteer engagement across the global Habitat affiliate network. She holds the Certified in Volunteer Administration credential, reflecting deep expertise and commitment to excellence. As Immediate Past President, Darlene supports strategic visioning for how local associations are engaged with AL!VE and helps advance strong, connected volunteer engagement leadership nationwide across the sector.

Carol has worked in volunteer engagement for over 25 years and serves at The Span Center, overseeing daily operations of the Foster Grandparent Program and co-leading its Service Enterprise Accreditation. She is President of GRAVA and the DC–VA AmeriCorps Seniors Directors Association, serves on the ASPN Board, volunteers with CCVA, and is AL!VE Treasurer. She also supports AL!VE’s Membership and Summit Program Committees and co-leads the AmeriCorps Seniors CoP. Carol regularly presents locally and nationally. Outside work, she lives on a “farmette,” raises animals, and loves traveling to see her three granddaughters.

Leigh is an Associate Professor and MPA Coordinator at the University of Louisiana Monroe with a commitment to civic engagement. With more than 12 years of nonprofit experience, she is an advocate for volunteerism and community service. A former Chair of the Scottsdale Parks and Recreation Commission and nominee for the Volunteer Mid-South Spirit of Giving Award, Dr. Hersey teaches administration, grant writing, and community organizing. She serves as a Commissioner for Volunteer Louisiana and holds a PhD in Public Administration from Arizona State University.

Shelli was introduced to volunteer management as a volunteer introducing volunteerism to the small private school that her children attended. Then she began an AmeriCorps position with Goodwill/Easter Seals as a Volunteer Coordinator. Over the years she has turned a very part-time Volunteer Coordinator role at Lyngblomsten into a full-time Director level position. Shelli has been a staple of volunteer engagement in Minnesota helping deliver Service Enterprise training, having served as a Conference Chair and Board Member for MAVA, and actively connected with her local peers.

Alicia brings nearly 13 years of experience in volunteer engagement and nonprofit leadership, with expertise in disaster readiness, cancer awareness, and housing. She has led initiatives that advance social impact and community empowerment and has served in key leadership roles, including Marketing Chair for the Association of Volunteer Administrators of Metro Chicago and Chair of Volunteer Engagement for multiple organizations. As AL!VE’s Advocacy Chair, Alicia advances initiatives that support members, promote social change, and elevate volunteer engagement. She is committed to establishing AL!VE’s guidelines as the sector benchmark for excellence.

Stacy oversees volunteer engagement and therapeutic service teams across Empath Health, including hospice, PACE, adult day, grief, community health, and outreach programs statewide. Empath supports thousands of volunteers delivering services across Florida, generating significant community impact and return on investment. Stacy serves on national leadership councils and boards, including the Alliance for Care at Home, and is a Leadership Sarasota County alumna. Under her leadership, Empath has earned national recognition for youth, veteran, and specialized volunteer programs and is pursuing Service Enterprise accreditation across diverse care settings.

David serves as Director of Community Engagement at Metro, improving experience and trust in public transit across DC, MD, and VA. Previously, he led volunteer initiatives at AARP Foundation, securing millions in grants and strengthening partnerships with AmeriCorps and Points of Light. He also managed outreach volunteerism for the world’s largest scientific society, reaching millions through awareness campaigns. David specializes in public outreach, program optimization, and stakeholder mobilization. He serves on the DC state service commission, teaches marketing at Johns Hopkins, and holds a BA and MA in Communications.

Drawing from lived experience as a Queer, Trans, Disabled, and Neurodivergent individual, Collin champions equity-centered spaces. Based in the Pacific Northwest, Collin enjoys nature, arts and crafts, podcasts and audiobooks, cheering on the Seattle Kraken, and time with their spouse and cats. Collin brings heart, humor, and change.

Following a successful academic career, AJ pursued a lifelong passion for the performing arts, recognizing his power to foster social cohesion across diverse communities. His work centers on improving volunteer satisfaction, strengthening onboarding and training, increasing recruitment and retention, enhancing communication, and converting donors and stakeholders into engaged volunteers. AJ is deeply committed to advancing inclusive, equitable cultural opportunities that reflect Miami’s multilingual, multicultural population.

Elizabeth has worked with volunteers, and as a volunteer, for more than 30 years. Her experience includes serving as a CPR instructor with the American Red Cross and as a Parks and Recreation Director managing programs, grants, and park development. She joined NWCSA as Volunteer Coordinator and advanced to Program Director for AmeriCorps Senior RSVP. With 18 years of federal grant writing, Elizabeth also leads VITA programs, manages senior services, and serves in multiple finance and leadership roles within AL!VE and national associations across the country.

Amy is a seasoned nonprofit leader with 20 years of experience in volunteer engagement, national service, and organizational change. As Community Engagement Manager at Harvesters—The Community Food Network, she leads initiatives connecting volunteers, donors, and partners to fight hunger. A CNP and CVA, Amy serves as Vice President of Managers of Volunteer Engagement Kansas and as a Governor-appointed Commissioner for the Kansas Volunteer Commission. An emerging national voice, she presents widely on volunteer engagement and justice-focused service and is pursuing a master’s in Communication and Leadership, completing summer 2026.

A leader, Ashley focuses on advancing volunteer engagement locally, nationally, and. She earned her CVA in 2016. She serves as Director of Outreach for CCVA and President of VASP, her local association. Ashley received the 2017 EVIE Award and teaches volunteer management at the Community College of Allegheny County. She holds bachelor’s degrees in English and Human Resources.

As Volunteer Program Manager at Second Harvest Food Bank in Muncie, IN, she oversees service opportunities for 4,600 volunteers across eight counties. Her leadership earned recognition in the Quest for the Best competition for volunteer programs. Previously, Rachel spent eight years as an art educator, fostering creativity and equity in diverse classrooms. Rachel holds a community leader certification and is pursuing an M.A. in Educational Psychology at Ball State University, focusing on community-level infrastructure for families.

Within AL!VE, he has chaired multiple committees, guiding growth, innovation, and change. He holds the CAE and CVA credentials, earned a master’s from George Washington University, and brings a global lens to volunteer leadership and impact.
