IJOVA-About Us
International Journal of Volunteer Administration Welcome to The International Journal of Volunteer Administration (IJOVA)! The Journal is a refereed publication of the Department of 4-H Youth Development and Family and Consumer Sciences at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC, USA. The IJOVA seeks to provide an exchange of ideas and a sharing of knowledge and insights about volunteerism and volunteer management and administration, both in North America and internationally.
In 2016, The Journal leadership took a significant step to ensure long-term sustainability of the publication as well as to be more responsive to authors, readers and the volunteer resource management community. The Journal is no longer published in separate issues, rather manuscripts are released when they are peer reviewed and formally accepted for publication by the editorial board. It is our goal to provide the most current and up-to-date content to volunteer resource managers in the timeliest manner.
Much has changed over the years for The Journal! We hope that you find the past issues relevant to your work, engage with the current published manuscripts and consider submitting your work for publication.
